Our niche is connection building, not traditional coaching. Our founder and CEO Dr. Bobbi Wegner is a clinical psychologist with deep expertise in group psychology who teaches motivation and culture in the organizational psychology program at Harvard University. 

We have partnerships underway with big organizations dedicated to creating a more connected future of work. We are looking to accelerate growth with new organizational partners to reach more employees in 2023 and beyond. 

About The Role

The Head of Business Development is dedicated to bringing in new organizational partners to meet annual growth goals. The ideal candidate for this role is a natural relationship builder who deeply understands the people strategy and talent development needs of organizations across industries. You know how to reach buyers and decision makers including executives in human resources, organizational culture building, talent development and other people-focused areas. You bring a human-centered sales approach to generating and nurturing leads through prospecting, cold calling, and email/social outreach. You love leaning in to truly understand customer needs and excel at sharing the transformational value of new solutions. 

You will directly manage and generate revenue and report to Groops founder and CEO. This is an opportunity to be part of an early-stage startup in a high-growth market and make a real impact on workplace wellness. 

About You

You are a purpose-driven and experienced business development leader who works well under the pressure and ambiguity of an evolving startup environment. 

  • You have a minimum of 8-10 years experience selling B2B products/services to organizational leaders and a proven track record of acquiring and retaining large enterprise accounts

  • You have exceptional communication and active listening skills and a relationship-focused approach to sales

  • You are analytically minded and thrive on setting and exceeding sales goals 

  • You have developed and managed high-performing sales teams and look forward to building out a salesforce as we grow

  • You want to be part of a small but growing highly collaborative startup team 

  • You feel motivated by the opportunity to transform the future of work through deeper connections and stronger relationships
